The Adventure Kings Dual Battery Kit automatically isolates your cranking battery - Eliminating flat batteries in the bush and enabling you to run your camp lighting and 12v accessories for longer!
If you are running a second battery or thinking about installing one, the Adventure Kings Dual Battery Kit is the smart way to do it – while the vehicle is running, your alternator is charging both your starter battery AND your second battery.
Turn the car off at camp and the Smart Battery Isolator included in the kit separates the two batteries completely. That allows you to run your fridge and accessories off your second battery while leaving your starter/cranking battery charged.
Additionally, the kit also includes heavy-duty cables, copper crimp lugs and marine-style battery terminals.
Never stress about flattening your starter battery by running your accessories at camp again – with the Adventure Kings Dual Battery Kit you can run your accessories for longer and still start your vehicle in the morning!
*Will not work on vehicles with smart alternators
Multi-function digital scan tool, read and clear engine fault codes, simple 1 plug installation takes seconds.
With four main categories of functions, an EDS can be used as a scan tool, as a digital gauge that displays up to four parameters like absolute throttle position or fuel rail pressure, as a trip computer and as a vehicle black box.
Easy to install and simple to use, the EDS is a must-have on modern 4WDs.
COMPATIBLE VEHICLES:
Voltage cut-in |
13.3V |
Voltage cut-off |
12.8V |
Smart Battery Isolator max amperage: |
140Amp |
Included in the kit:
1 x Smart Battery Isolator with mounting screws
1 x 600cm length of 10mm sq red cable
1 x 60cm Black earth cable
2 x Positive Marine battery terminals
1 x Negative Marine battery terminal
1 x SC25-10 Copper crimp lug
2 x 16-8 Copper crimp lugs
2 x Red heat shrink
1 x Insulated blue ring terminal
6 x 200mm cable ties
EDS is a slave gauge and can only display data channels that are sent out to it from the engines computer. The number of channels will vary between vehicle models but may include the channels listed below.
SEE BELOW FOR APPLICATION LIST!
It works as a scan tool to help you troubleshoot problems of all OBD2/EOBD compliant vehicles. Works with all OBDII compliant vehicles. Reads & clears trouble codes. Easily determines the cause of the “Check Engine Light (MIL)”. Turns off Check Engine Light, and resets monitors. Views freeze frame data. Displays monitor and I/M readiness status. Retrieves vehicle information (VIN, CIN and CVN).
It will measure/monitor up to four different sets of information simultaneously, providing real-time engine performance analysis, allowing you to adjust driving behavior and save fuel.
Fuel system status Vehicle speed Engine coolant temperature Fuel rail pressure Intake manifold absolute pressure Engine speed Calculated load value Ignition Timing Intake air temperature Absolute throttle position Battery voltage Short term fuel trim Oxygen sensor output voltage Air flow rate Commanded secondary air status
It will display such useful information as average trip Kilometres per litre (km/l), tank km/l, average speed per trip, average speed per tank of fuel, kilometers to empty, kilometers driven on tank, and more.
Maximum Speed Average Speed Driving Time Driving Distance Fuel Used Trip Fuel Economy Distance to Empty Time to Empty Fuel to Empty Engine Power
WHAT SIZE FUSE SHOULD I USE
You’ll need to check the specifications on your alternator and use fuses that are rated higher than the alternator output to avoid them blowing through normal charging
HOW DO I KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK ON MY VEHICLE
Many newer vehicles are fitted with temp compensating alternators and ‘smart’ alternators that adjust the voltage output when the main battery is fully charged or in higher temperatures – these can cause a dual battery system to function incorrectly or not at all. Check with your vehicle manufacturer and if you do have one of these alternators, consider a DC DC charger such as the CTEK D250SA
HOW DO I KNOW IF AN ENGINE DATA SCAN WILL FIT MY VEHICLE?
Please visit the EDS product page to see the FULL list of vehicles the EDS is compatible for. If your vehicle is not on this list, the EDS is not suitable for it.
DOES THE EDS NEED SEPARATE 12V POWER? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL/ SET UP?
No, the EDS is powered from the OBDII port – it’s a simple one plug installation and the EDS takes less than a minute to install and setup. It auto-detects the vehicle type and outputs as much information as is possible.
DOES AN EDS SHOW THE SAME INFORMATION FOR EVERY VEHICLE?
No, it depends on what the vehicle ECU outputs to the OBDII port. Some displays are not available on some vehicles.
